Abstract

Storage of seeds and seed products requires both special care and control. During storage, the quality of seeds is affected by a complex of environmental factors: humidity, temperature, gas exchange, the composition of the atmosphere of the storage or packaging, the nature of the seed covers, the degree of maturity, microflora. The factors limiting the storage duration of viable seeds are, first of all, temperature and humidity.
