Abstract
The article discusses the socio - economic, urban development problems of Khiva, its architectural planning and urban organization, and compositional features. In order to preserve cultural values, recreate, restore Khiva, its formative development, a comprehensive reconstruction of the historical city, full modern use of both a separate historical building and the entire complex of old Khiva as objects of socio-economic and tourist infrastructure is proposed.
